Writing a Competitive Grant Proposal
Overview
The Writing a Competitive Grant Proposal (WCGP) workshop is led by a faculty of leading researchers with extensive experience in grant applications and funding. This 1½-day, in-person workshop will give you valuable tools to pursue funding from the federal government, foundations or societies. Using a combination of instruction and interactive small group sessions, researchers funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will provide guidance on writing grant applications with an emphasis on developing the specific aims page.
Learning objectives
- Identify the funding opportunities that fit your personal circumstances of career stage, institutional environment and personal interests.
- Explain the NIH grant review process and appropriate interactions with NIH program staff.
- Effectively communicate a research plan on the specific aims page.
Target audience
This intermediate grant writing program is intended for junior faculty and researchers in radiology, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine and imaging sciences who are pursuing funding from the federal government, foundations or societies.
