Honored Educator Award

We're dedicated to recognizing RSNA members who've produced an array of radiologic resources in the last 12 months. Every year, the Honored Educator Award acknowledges those most invested in furthering radiologic education through the creation of high-quality educational content in their field of study.

To ensure all qualified RSNA members have access to this distinction, RSNA is introducing an open nomination process available to all. Review eligibility for the Honored Educator Award and the Lifetime Honored Educator Award below and submit your nomination by Jan. 31, 2023.

Honored Educator Award eligibility

To qualify for the Honored Educator Award, nominees must be RSNA members and participate in a number of qualifying educational activities. RSNA's Digital and Live Education Committee will select 50-60 award recipients using the following criteria:

  • Authoring educational articles, or providing invited commentary, best cases, or guest editing in RSNA's premier journals, Radiology, RadioGraphics, Radiology: Imaging Cancer, Radiology: Cardiothoracic Imaging, or Radiology: Artificial Intelligence
  • Contributions to RSNA Case Collection
  • Authoring online education, including CME test questions
  • Serving as an intensive mentor at a workshop outside the RSNA annual meeting
  • Authoring an online professionalism vignette
  • Serving as a faculty member at a live RSNA course outside of the annual meeting
  • Serving as a visiting professor in RSNA's International Visiting Professor Program
  • Participating in the Global Learning Centers Program
  • Delivering an invited lecture at one or more in-person educational meetings or workshops sponsored at the RSNA annual meeting or offering an RSNA-branded course at another organization's meeting
  • Authoring an education exhibit or Quality Storyboard
  • Coordinating a Case of the Day subspecialty track for the RSNA annual meeting
  • Educational content presented outside of the RSNA annual meeting and educational content presented at the RSNA annual meeting

Candidates must contribute to an RSNA educational activity to be considered for the award. Based on the number of qualifying activities completed, only the most active RSNA members are honored for their contributions.

Lifetime Honored Educator Award eligibility

A selection of members who earn three Honored Educator Awards become eligible for consideration to receive the Lifetime Honored Educator Award upon a fourth nomination. Candidates for the Lifetime Honored Educator Award must:

  • Meet the Honored Educator Award eligibility
  • Earn three Honored Educator Awards and receive a fourth nomination
  • Be placed within the top 50-60 award recipients

Honorees will no longer receive the annual Honored Educator Award after being granted the Lifetime Honored Educator Award.

Points can be earned in any category and only RSNA members in good standing are eligible.
