Who is this course for?

The Foundational Certificate course is ideal for radiologists, radiology residents, physicists, data scientists and clinical researchers seeking foundational-level AI knowledge who want to learn how to safely evaluate, implement, use and monitor performance of AI-based tools for medical imaging.

How can residents enroll?

We encourage all radiology residents to enroll in the Foundational Certificate course! Review the details below to learn how RSNA members in training and non-member residents can enroll.

Not an RSNA member? No problem! If you’re a resident who would like to take advantage of discounted course registration, you can join RSNA for free. Once your membership is activated, you are eligible to enroll in the Foundational Certificate course at the $550 rate.

How is this course structured?

The Foundational Certificate course is an easy-to-navigate online course and is organized:

  • In an asynchronous learning environment, allowing participants to work at their own pace
  • In a series of six modules that combine on-demand videos and hands-on coursework
How much time commitment is involved?

The time commitment varies and depends on the participant’s learning style. On average, each module should take no more than three hours to complete.

How much CME does this course offer?

This program has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Participants will be notified of the credit amount prior to the start of each module.

When are the course modules released?

All six modules for the Foundational Certificate course have been released and are available upon enrollment.

How can I access the modules?

Links to all six modules for the Foundational Certificate course will be emailed to you. To gain access, you must be logged into your account. Next, click on the "My Learning" tab.

How do I earn the certificate?

Upon successful completion of the six-module curriculum, participants earn their Foundational Certificate, recognizing their ability to understand AI algorithm development and their ability to safely evaluate, deploy, monitor and use AI algorithms.

Will there be more advanced courses offered in the future?

Yes. The Foundational Certificate course is the first course available within the RSNA Imaging AI Certificate Program. More advanced certificate courses will be available in the future, allowing you to stay up to date with the latest AI technology and utilization.

When I sign up for the foundational-level course, am I auto-enrolled in future courses within the program?

No. Once additional courses within the program become available, you will need to enroll in each one separately.
