Course directors

Kate Lampen-Sachar, MD

Kate Lampen-Sachar, MD, is a breast radiologist at Radiology Associates of South Florida, Baptist Health South Florida. She is also assistant professor and vice chair of the Department of Radiology at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University, where she enjoys clinical research, teaching and mentoring first through fourth year medical students. Dr. Lampen-Sachar maintains an interest in education and will be the director of a new diagnostic radiology residency program at Baptist Health South Florida. She is active in RSNA as vice chair of the Digital and Live Education Committee and is a reviewer for RadioGraphics and RSNA Case Collection. Dr. Lampen-Sachar is a member of several national radiology societies and an active lecturer in the south Florida community.

Andrew Schweitzer, MD

Andrew Schweitzer, MD, is associate professor of clinical radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine, where he serves as vice chair for education, program director for the diagnostic radiology residency program and program director for the biomedical imaging program. He is the neuroradiology section editor for Clinical Imaging and a three-time recipient of the Robin C. Watson Weill Cornell Radiology Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Schweizer’s neuroradiology interests include traumatic brain injury, ALS, PRES and neurovascular imaging and his medical education interests include calibration, metacognition and simulation.

Jocelyn D. Chertoff, MD, MS

Jocelyn D. Chertoff, MD, MS, is professor of radiology and obstetrics and gynecology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where she also serves as chair of the Department of Radiology and vice president of the Regional Radiology Service Line. Dr. Chertoff earned her doctorate degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed her radiology residency and fellowship program in cross-sectional imaging at the Medical Center of Vermont. Dr. Chertoff is interested in workforce issues in radiology, gastrointestinal imaging, education, gender, diversity, leadership and faculty development. She serves on multiple institutional and national committees, is past president of multiple medical imaging associations and recently joined the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiology Departments (SCARD) as a board member and is also a board member of the Varex Imaging Corporation. Dr. Chertoff has received awards from the Alliance of Clinician Educators, the Association of Program Directors, the Association of University Radiologists and RSNA.

Joshua Patrick Gilliam

Joshua Patrick Gilliam is co-owner and managing director of Gilliam, Mease & Associates, a financial planning practice that helps individuals and business owners evaluate and make financial decisions. He is committed to delivering personal, strategic and holistic advice to his clients and to helping other financial advisors do the same. Josh maintains a FINRA Series 7 General Securities Representative license and is also a licensed life and health insurance agent in several states. Josh has written extensively on personal finance and is the creator of the [Fi] Life Framework.

Nisha Mehta, MD

Nisha Mehta, MD, is a radiologist, keynote speaker, physician community builder and physician advocate. Her missions include addressing the physician burnout epidemic through physician empowerment and cultural change in medicine, as well as increasing business and financial literacy amongst physicians in order to promote career longevity and career satisfaction. Dr. Mehta has led grassroots physician efforts to advocate for legislation on behalf of health care workers and patients and was named a Top Voice in Health Care by LinkedIn in 2020.

Joseph Osborne, MD, PhD

Joseph Osborne, MD, PhD, is chief of molecular imaging and therapeutics and professor of radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and is an attending radiologist at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Osborne is the founder of Rad Health Equity, a program whose mission is to implement projects and partnerships that reduce radiologic health disparities. Dr. Osborne was the principal investigator on an NIH Academic Industrial Partnership RO1 grant and a winner of the Dean’s Health Disparity Research Award.

Eric Rohren, MD, PhD

Eric Rohren, MD, PhD, is professor and chair of the Department of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine. Prior to joining Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Rohren was chief of PET/CT at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has served on numerous boards and committees in the nuclear medicine field, including the Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging’s PET Center of Excellence and as a board member at the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Rohren is a recognized expert in PET imaging and speaks nationally and internationally on diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine, particularly related to clinical applications of PET/CT in the oncology patient population. With training in both radiology and nuclear medicine imaging procedures, Dr. Rohren has a special interest in the complementary roles of functional and anatomic imaging in the management of malignancy.

Aarti K. Sekhar, MD

Aarti Sekhar, MD, is an abdominal radiologist and an associate professor of radiology at Emory University School of Medicine. She is a renowned radiology educator with a current faculty appointment at the ACR Institute for Radiologic Pathology. Dr. Sekhar is passionate about global health, coaching, mentorship and wellness. She has given numerous lectures nationally and internationally and was named teacher of the year at Emory University. Dr. Sekhar founded the Early Career Committee at the Society for Advanced Body Imaging and at the Society of Abdominal Radiology. Additionally, she co-founded an online weekly case conference entitled “Cases with Aces.”

Lucy Boyd Spalluto, MD, MPH

Lucy Spalluto, MD, MPH, is an associate professor in the women’s imaging section of Vanderbilt University’s Department of Radiology. At Vanderbilt, Dr. Spalluto serves as the vice chair of health equity, the associate director of diversity and inclusion and is the founder of the department’s Women in Radiology initiative. Dr. Spalluto is co-chair of RSNA’s Health Equity Committee and currently serves on the American College of Radiology’s Commission on Publications and Lifelong Learning and the Commission on Women and Diversity. Dr. Spalluto is a past president of the American Association for Women in Radiology.

Courtney Tomblinson, MD

Courtney Tomblinson, MD

Courtney Tomblinson, MD, is an assistant professor of radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she specializes in neuroradiology. Dr. Tomblinson serves as director of Vanderbilt University’s Women in Radiology leadership initiative and program director of their neuroradiology fellowship. Dr. Tomblinson has served as co-chair of the ASNR Young Professionals Committee and is a recipient of the 2022 American College of Radiology Bruce J. Hillman Fellowship in Scholarly Publishing. Dr. Tomblinson also serves as a RadioGraphics contributing editor to social media and digital innovation, where she combines her passions of medical education and digital innovation to expand engagement with the journal.
